The Online Film Critics Award ‘No Country’

So I’m sitting here trying to avoid writing and I stumble across the fact that the OFCS announced their awards today. I discovered this via Matthew Lucas’ From the Front Row who credits Movie City News for the info. A little further research shows Nathaniel R. of The Film Experience broke the news when the day was just over an hour old.

Anyway, talk about sloppy seconds. The important thing is No Country for Old Men racked up another 6 awards. Hopefully by the time you read this, the Awards Tally will be updated.

  1. “So I’m sitting here trying to avoid writing and…”

Don’t worry Craig, in a month or so there ain’t going to be diddly squat to write about for quite some time. Unless of course you’re really looking forward to author a whole can-opening of whup ass regarding the hotly anticipated Battle in Seattle or maybe Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns. Yay, more grammarical title mischief from the master of ego, Tyler Perry. Madea is back, “the indomitable, law-breaking, fun-loving grandma” (thank you Comingsoon.net, I could not have summed it up better myself). Ebert will be so pleased.

Revel in the glory that is the myriad critics’ group posting their near daily onslaught of awards and salutations to all things filmic. It shall end soon.

  2. Tis the season for DVDs and retro-reviews.
