Don’t Mind the Staple
Proving that some people really do read Playboy for the articles, William Monahan (The Departed) is set to write a new thriller based on a true story that will be written up in a future issue of the magazine for men who only like women with the very life airbrushed right out of them.
The article will tell the story of Jim Keene, the son of a police chief who was busted for dealing drugs. Instead of a 10 years-to-life jail sentence, Keene agreed to go undercover at a maximum security hospital for the criminally insane in an effort to learn the whereabouts of the victims of a serial killer.

Wow, that sounds like a fascinating start to a story. That’s all I want to know about it from this point on. Hope it turns out well.
This does sound like an interesting article. It could be an interesting film idea as well if he can expand on it effectively.
Sounds a little silly to me.
The fact it’s true does nothing to sway you, Sartre? Had it been a complete invention, my interest would be less, but count me in with the enthusiastic people.
Thanks for pointing that out Craig. Must read more carefully. I’m leery of film representations of the criminally insane. We’ll see.
Oh, sartre, you spoilsport. ;-)
Just call me Oscar the Grouch.
I grew up with Jimmy and knew his family and have been friends with him since 8 years old. This should be a very interesting story…
I hope you’re right, Bungus. And thanks for stopping by.
