Waters + Knoxville + Posey + Christmas = ‘Fruitcake’

In older but lighter news, John Waters is going to tacky up everyone’s favorite consumer holiday with Johnny Knoxville and Parker Posey.

According to The Hollywood Reporter:

“The plot is officially under wraps but is said to center on the title character, a boy named after his favorite dessert. He runs away from home during the holidays after he and his parents are caught shoplifting meat, then meets up with a runaway girl raised by two gay men and searching for her birth mother.”

I hope Fruitcake tackles Thomas Kinkade’s Home for Christmas, pins it down and forces it to eat poodle shit. ‘Painter of Light’, my ass.

  1. I didn’t realize I needed a John Waters Christmas movie until right now.

  2. I do like Parker Posey. Like Catherine Keener and Steve Buscemi, she’s a real actors’ actor, and always working.

  3. It’s not the first time Waters has shot Christmas scenes. Here’s a sample of what we can look forward to ->

  4. I love Parker Posey…she’s always consistently good in smaller films. And, of course, she is an integral part of the Christopher Guest crew!

  5. Hi K, thanks for stopping by. Sorry it took so long to get your comments moderated…I was getting my Speed on. I agree with you And Alison on Parker Posey. She makes every movie worth watching.

Jeff. But now you can’t even imagine christmas without Waters, can you??

Hahaha Sartre, that clip never gets old.

  6. The description alone screams John Waters. I’m in.

    Shoplifting meat? Heh heh, priceless.

  7. Seriously Joel. I can picture him pitching it to a prospective financier
