Bond: To Beyonce or Not to Beyonce?

I’ve already opened this can of worms, so I’ve got to keep eating them until they’re all gone.

According to Gold Derby’s Tom O’Neil, The London Daily Express (aka fish wrap) is tossing around the latest name to record a theme for the upcoming James Bond film Quantum of Solace. That’s right, it’s the Dreamgirl herself: Beyonce.

But, not so fast, says Tom. According to The London Daily Star (aka birdcage liner), previous Bond rumor Amy Winehouse has finished Bond songs lying all over the place. You can’t walk through her living room without practically tripping on a Bond song. According to “pals” one of them is “a big Shirley Bassey 60’s-type number.”  Whodathunkit?

The keepers of the Bond flame are reportedly skittish about the drug thing, but Winehouse says “It’s there, ready and done, and it’s up to them if they want it or not.”

Which gossip rag are you going to believe?

This is the kind of thing that clutters up the online version of the main newspaper of the second largest city in the United States. Comforting, isn’t it?

  1. I’m not a Beyonce fan.

    But I LOVE Amy.

I want Amy for QOS. Yes. Yes, I do.

She is the only reasonable choice. There is no substitute….

  2. Until something has been decided officially, I’m trying to keep from having an opinion.

Whoever does it, I hope it’s sexy and cool.

  3. It must be AW. Beyonce would be disaster. Besides, she already did Austin Powers.
