Tarantino Hype Continues
By Craig Kennedy - June 3rd, 2008; 1:26 pm
According the the Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow Tour website, Quentin Tarantino will not present Sergio Leone’s Dollars trilogy in Spain as originally planned because he has “cleared all appearances to begin preproduction on his new feature, Inglorious Bastards.”
Make of it what you will, or ignore it. I’ve started paying attention now so I can’t stop.

Looks like Tarantino has been eating his Wheaties ala Eastwood and Spielberg.
It’s a tempting rumor, but curiously devoid of factual information like “Tarantino’s representatives told us…”
Quite true. It’s a nice little bit of somewhat speculative information, though, so thanks for posting it. I read somewhere about Robert Rodriguez saying this past week that Tarantino wanted to start shooting Bastards by “early fall,” but I can’t remember from where and in which context I read that.
Yes, a note from say a production company saying it was now officially in pre-production or a casting agent saying casting was underway would actually make me buy into this. I assume Harvey would fund this one, even after the massive failure of Grindhouse. He needs a big hit of some kind.
I’m reserving judgement until cameras roll.
Having said that, I’d love it if things were underway. I was skeptical about this when I first heard about it, but then I learned with Kill Bill and Death Proof just to stop questioning QT and to let the movies speak for themselves.
