The Shining is probably the scariest movie I have ever seen ever. EVER.
A great iconic picture of black humor and a perfect one for today!!!
Another iconic movie that scared me even before I ever saw it simply from the tales my older siblings told of it.
“Come and play with us, Danny. Forever and ever and EVER.”
I saw The Shining when I was 11 and it turned me off scary movies forever. I swear, I couldn’t walk down hallways, pull back the shower curtain, or open an elevator without flipping out for YEARS.
Never saw The Shining - and I’m a Kubrick aficionado.
I know. Doesn’t really make sense. But it always seemed more than a little creepy to me and those kinds of flicks just don’t turn my crank. Even when they’re made by a master.
But you WOULD make that particular correlation, wouldn’t you, Craig?
Is Sam the only father that posts here regularly? He’s the only one that I’m aware of.
No problem. Glorious, effervescent Father’s Day greetings go out to my beloved daddy, to Sam and to all the rest of the gentleman that fit into that particular category.
Here’s hoping you get far more than socks today…
Hee hee, very appropriate.
Happy Father’s Day to all of you LiC readers who are fathers!
:-)
Fathers Day may be over here in SA, but I had an awesome day with mine, but I still echo Alison’s sentiment.
