More Relentless ‘Shotgun’ Plugging

At risk of emphasizing how badly I failed one of the better movies of the year while it was still playing in theaters (and still trying to make up for it), I’d like to call your attention to a characteristically excellent review of Shotgun Stories by Mr. Charles Bowen Jr. over at Bowen’s Cinematic.

Better yet, rent the movie and watch it first. Then head over to Chuck’s place. You’ll be glad you did.

  1. Yeah, I’ve got to see the darned thing before I fully enjoy Chuck’s review. I looked at bits here and there, and the first paragraph was so stellar it made me all the more excited about the film.

  2. I’m almost glad I didn’t write a review so I don’t have to worry about a comparison.

  3. It’s top on my Netflix list, but there’s a short wait, so I got the next one on the queue instead. Rats.

  4. The tyranny of the queue!

  5. Can’t read anything yet, but I look forward to Chuck’s reviews like I do to a fine wine. If l liked wine that much, but…well, you know what I mean.

Philip at MZ also spoke highly of it.

  6. I like wine, especially if its fine, and I cannot wait to read Chuck’s review as soon as I see the movie.

    I won’t hold my breath.

  7. I just saw this today and liked it a lot. I also discovered one of my ex-girlfriend’s best friends plays one of the brothers on the opposite side of the family from Michael Shannon. Small world huh?

  8. hah! it is a small world indeed. Glad you liked it. As I’ve said repeatedly, I’m a little ashamed I never reviewed it.
