Screen Daily’s Mike Goodridge reports that Dutch director Paul Verhoeven (Black Book, RoboCop) is attached to direct a film based on the acclaimed World War II memoir The Forgotten Soldier by Frenchman Guy Sajer.
As a teenager, Sajer was recruited into the German army and sent to the eastern front.
