Anne Thompson reported this morning that the new hosts of At the Movies would be E! Entertainment’s Ben (son of Jeffrey, grandson of Leonard) Lyons and Turner Classic Movies host Ben (grandson of Herman, great nephew of Joseph L.) Mankiewicz.

Charlie Kaufman’s Synecdoche, New York, one of the more anticipated films around the LiC offices, may soon be picked up by Sony Pictures Classics for distribution in the US. The Hollywood Reporter’s Gregg Goldstein and Steven Zeitchik describe the process as being in “advanced negotiations.”
