Ridley Scott’s ‘Not-tingham’
By Craig Kennedy - July 26th, 2008; 7:14 pm
Filming was supposed to begin in mid-August on Ridley Scott’s Nottingham starring Russell Crowe as the Sherriff, but The Hollywood Reporter’s Gregg Kilday says the film has been put on hold due to “script concerns, location logistics and the current labor unrest.”
In a statement from Universal, the studio claims that everyone remains committed to the project.
I suppose the November 6, 2009 release date is no longer accurate.

It’s weird, I kept thinking this would fall through or at least be delayed. I have no idea why, either. It’s certainly probably not any major disagreements between Scott and Crowe, as they seem to get along famously. I just sort of had a bad feeling about it.
Get back to me on other gestating films. I’ll set up a psychic shop on the corner (no pun intended). Maybe it’s just from seeing that X-Files movie.
Too bad, the project sounded intriguing. Especially with Sam Riley as Robin Hood.
Sounds like it’s still going to happen, but who knows?
