The Playlist reported over the weekend a blurb in the print edition of Entertainment: Weakly that rumors of Leonardo DiCaprio starring in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards were false. Now Variety’s Michael Fleming and Tatiana Siegel are saying Hostel director Eli Roth is in talks for the part of a “baseball bat-swinging Nazi hunter.”

According to an AP report in USA Today, Kevin Smith has won his appeal with the MPAA over Zack and Miri Make a Porno. The previously NC-17 rated comedy will now carry an R rating. Once they make a decision, I was under the impression the MPAA rarely budges so this is good news.

NY Mag’s Vulture notices that the viral Tropic Thunder website for Simple Jack has disappeared. They suggest that concern from disabled rights advocacy groups may have convinced DreamWorks to take the site down.
