Disney’s got a new website up that offers, among other things, a few new glimpses of their lovely looking, traditionally animated film The Princess and The Frog scheduled to open Christmas 2009.

Michael Cieply reports in the New York Times that several groups representing people with disabilities are expected to announce a boycott of the new comedy Tropic Thunder as early as Monday. At issue is the frequent use of the word “retard” in the film, a Hollywood satire about the filming of a war picture.

Several box office number crunchers predicted yesterday that The Dark Knight would top new release Pineapple Express on its way to leading the box office for the 4th weekend in a row. As of Sunday, it appears Batman has pulled it off $26 million to $22.4.
It makes a good headline but it’s meaningless.
