The wait is over: ‘Without a Paddle’ gets a sequel

Don’t even bother slowing down the car for this one. There’s nothing to see here. In a story about Paramount Home Video’s year-old direct-to-video arm, The Hollywood Reporter mentions principal photography has wrapped on a sequel to the 2004 crapfest Without a Paddle. That’s right, Without a Paddle: Nature’s Calling will be on video store shelves by early 2009. Get it? Nature’s Calling? Like you have to take a pee? Hilarious, right?

The original had Seth Green and Matthew Lillard as a couple of friends hunting for D.B. Cooper’s treasure or something and it made around $50 million. The sequel has an impossibly detailed and laugh-free synopsis over at IMDB. Oh look, someone’s got a sophisticated British cousin named Nigel! Let the belly laughs begin.

  2. I knew that sounded familiar…

Remember the old days like 10 years ago when finding information was actually hard?

  3. Classic headline to this post.

This might have been worth bringing out the studio pinheads for a conversation…

  4. Hah…I fear going to the well too often with those guys. I might have to come up with a new angle for them.

  5. Hallelujah. I knew my grassroots petitions would pay off.

  6. So…it was YOU!! :)
