Friday Filler: The Explanation

Joel brought this piece from Matt Zoller Seitz to my attention. It makes me smile for some reason.
Happy Friday.

I loved seeing this a few days back. It’s terrifically edited together by Matt Zoller Seitz. Very funny.
I’m always the last one to discover what the kids are doing on the YouTubes.
And I’m second to last.
And for all these reasons, I have decided to scalp you and burn your village to the ground.
Nice work, although I’m disappointed in Matt for not referring to ‘Star Wars’ by its proper title.
And no midichlorians or Hercule Poirot?
Or Kant. Or Tralfamadorians.
ha, Jeff! I thought about Poirot too.
It just seems like the whole last half hour of Murder on the Orient Express is built for something like this.
I just watched a bunch of Woody Allen movies this week, though, so I Kant handle any more.
Ha.
haha, Jeff. I don’t even know exactly what I meant last night. Something about fatalism or predestination, but it all came unraveled.
When I was a kid, I was hooked on Poirot for awhile, but avoided Miss Marple like the plague. She beats Poirot for me now though. None of her screen incarnations have ever matched how I imagined her physically — but I like them all! The latest series on PBS is really well-produced too.
Another thing I love about the Marple mysteries is how the sleepy village of St. Mary Mead has a homicide rate higher than Detroit.
