Poster: Valkyrie

Hey look ever’body. It’s the movie everyone seems to want to hate even though no one has seen it!
Not a fan of the tagline, but as I said over at Inside the Gold (from whence I swiped the pic), I like the starkness and the geometry of it.
Directed by Bryan Singer, Valkyrie is based on the true story of a plot to assassinate Adolph Hitler. Tom Cruise stars.
After bouncing around the calendar, the film is currently set to hit theatres on December 26.
[Update: Stay tuned to Yahoo Movies, they're supposed to have the official trailer and a featurette up at 9pm PST]

Interesting. Not what I would have expected at all.
Can not take Cruise anymore, but I know few can. But the poster is buffo, and the subject matter most intriguing. Anything about Hitler always is.
Isn’t that what everyone in the blogosphere does — esteemed present company excluded, of course: endlessly pre-judge movies they’ve never seen?
It is a great poster . . .
OK, so I’m glad other people are responding positively to the poster. Color me officially intrigued about the project. Thanks for the shout out :)
I like, a lot. A little like the map of the mall that shows, You Are Here, but I still like it a lot. Especially cool how the layout of the conference table and chairs form a perfect purified Bauhaus halo/helmet around Tom’s head. Reminds me of something… yeah, reminds me of this.
Just teasing. I really do like it. Anything Bryan Singer does gets extra points left over from when The Usual Suspects overflowed with points.
Ryan, you are the king of random yet appropriate web images. I picture you at a cluttered desk surrounded by 12 monitors, each scrolling through different images…
Haha, that’s a funny image in its own right.
Well I love Tom Cruise The Actor, so there was never any doubt I was going to be first in line here. I’m just glad it was bumped back up to December.
Trailer looks good. I’m interested.
