Trailer: Sunshine Cleaning
Sunshine Cleaning, the story of a woman who gets involved in the crime scene cleaning and biohazard removal business to make a better life for herself and her son, made a bit of a splash at Sundance. The bad news is it looks like another in a long line of overly quirky indie comedies in the Little Miss Sunshine mold. The good news is that it stars Amy Adams, Emily Blunt, Alan Arkin and Steve Zahn.
Watch the trailer and decide for yourself.
Sunshine Cleaning is slated for some time in 2009.

I worship at the Blunt altar, so I’m there with bells on. God, it took forever for this thing to get released.
If it is overly quirky indie comedy, at least for once it’s female-centric. And though I rolled my eyes at Alan Arkin being the foul-mouthed curmudgeon barking his gruff charm at a wide-eyed kid (hmm, why does this sound familiar?), the rest of it looks good to me, esp. Amy Adams and Emily Blunt, in what look to be different roles for them.
I like the cast but the trailer doesn’t really do anything for me.
The trailer does kind seem ‘Little Miss Sunshiney’ and it isn’t that great. But it’s Amy Adams and Emily Blunt, so I’ll be there opening day.
Yep, sold on Blunt and Adams. Totally agree about Arkink, and I’m a guy who actually enjoyed his character in LMS.
