Poster: Gran Torino

McPaper has the first look at the poster for Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino. Click the image to see the whole thing largified. It reminds me of something from the ’70s…like Walking Tall.

The film about a racist Korean War veteran living in Detroit is set to open December 17. The trailer is supposed to premiere this weekend prior to screenings of Changeling.

  1. I like it. A lot. Despite the clear WALKING TALL comparisons. Very throwback.

  2. This will likely be an historic film, since all indicators are this is the last time Eastwood will act onscreen. Of course, speculation has arisen before concerning this potentiality, but this time it feels more probable.

  3. Yeah I like it too. I like the retroness of it. As I’ve said elsewhere I’m more interested in this one than Changeling just because Clint is in it….whether or not it’s his last one and it could be as Alexander says.

  4. I reckon it’ll do. He does have a little of that get off my lawn look, though.

  5. Hahahaha…John McCain in: Gran Torino

  6. That is such an iconic Clint pose.

  7. Aged, yet ageless.

  8. If nothing else, my worries that GRAN TORINO was going to be the sequel to PINK CADILLAC have been dispelled.

  9. Hah…it looks like Gran Torino eats Pink Cadillac for breakfast.
