  1. I love the poster’s top half, but that title font is revolting and clashes with the rest of the posters “My Blueberry Nights” fluorescent, neon-like colour palette. I don’t normally get in a tizzy over a poster, but this one could have been better.

  2. Eh.

Don’t care for the poster at all, honestly.

  3. I dig it. It’s the MBN colors as Nick points out.

You two wanna fight about it?? :)

  4. To paraphrase Barry Pepper in 25th Hour, if I ever meet this poster at a cinema I’ll tell it, “You look like a fucking optical illusion.”

    :)

  5. hahahaha

  6. Let’s give it a little love here: I don’t see the Trajan font anywhere.

  7. Seriously!

  8. I’ll say it: this poster is terrible. I’ve been hearing wonderful things about the film, but this poster does not entice me to see it in the slightest. There are essentially 3 different posters clashing with one another here: the top is a whispy bittersweet romance set in a chaotic world of neon (ala MBN, which has already been pointed out, and which had a wonderful poster btw), the middle is a shameless copy ‘n paste from the Millionaire TV show with a sickly-sweet tagline (there must have been better ways to pull in the reference to the show), and the bottom is a really weak attempt to make the title look edgy and grungy.

This looks like a Photoshop hack job to me, what with its motion blurs and fades and gradients, and would get a D or a C in any college level graphic design class.

I’m sorry. I think I’m having a bad day and I’m taking it out on this poster.

  9. All of the controversy behind the film’s rating is, however, quite interesting. In the words of Lola (my daughter loves the show - Disney Channel is crack to her), “The MPAA is my favorite and my best!”

  10. I wondered about that R when I saw it on the most recent MPAA list since it didn’t seem to jibe with the film’s vibe. I hadn’t noticed there was controversy though.

  11. First impression is highly positive, but the negative comments are swaying me a little bit. Either way I’m dying to see the movie.

  12. what is the name of that freakin font??!
