Trailer: Che
Here’s the trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s Che starring Benicio Del Toro. I still haven’t made up my mind if it’s great or merely very good, but I look forward to giving it another spin.
Che is set to play (in two parts…I think) for a one-week Oscar qualifying run in Los Angeles and New York beginning December 12.
The film about the South American revolutionary will return to theaters on January 9 with expansions scheduled for the ensuing weeks.

Well, I don’t get all hot and bothered by the trailer. But this is one of those films that you can’t ignore, even if you want to. Soderbergh is phenomenally uneven, but he’s always doing something different, and I can appreciate him for that. My guess is that this will make a much better single film than it will a two parter.
Truth be told, I didn’t even watch the full trailer in my hurry to get it posted and get on with my day. What I watched brought back intriguing memories of the film though and primed me to see it this weekend.
