Trailer: Cold Souls
Apple has the trailer for the existentialist comedy Cold Souls starring Paul Giamatti. It’s playing the Los Angeles Film Festival on 6/25 and 6/27. I’ll be catching the second screening and I can’t wait.
Cold Souls opens in theaters on August 7th.

Yeah, this is a must-see for me. I hope they can pull it off, particularly when you’re inviting so much direct comparison to Kaufman’s genius.
I sort of only mentally skimmed the trailer in search for an adequate screen cap. I’m pretty much already on board so I didn’t want to have too much given away.
The Kaufman vibe is even stronger than it was off the poster and the concept. I hope that translates into a good thing.
didn’t you go to the film fest last year ???
which film fest did you fo to last year and you caught like 85 movies. ha ha… :)
I’m just scanning the titles for next month’s New Zealand International Film Festival and sadly Cold Souls is not among them. But I will have a chance to see Antichrist, Wendy & Lucy, Seraphine, Summer Hours (on the big screen), A Christmas Tale, Bright Star, Broken Embraces, Che, In the Loop, Moon, Looking for Eric, and Thirst among others.
I went to two last year Glimmer, LAFF and AFI. LAFF is starting tonight.
Shit Sartre, that’s a great lineup. Of the ones I’ve seen (W&L, Seraphine, Summer Hours, A Christmas Tale, Che and Moon), I’m a fan, and the rest I’m definitely interested in catching.
