Trailer: No Impact Man

“Can we live a good life without wasting so much?”
Apple has the trailer for No Impact Man, a documentary about one family’s attempt to live a no environmental impact existence for one year…well, one husband’s attempt to drag his family along kicking and screaming.
It premiered to solid reviews at Sundance and was picked up in June by Oscilloscope Laboratories, Beastie Boy Adam Yauch’s production/distribution company.
Here’s Variety’s take:
Proof that “eco” and “entertainment” aren’t mutually exclusive, No Impact Man may be a socially progressive, environmentally conscious film, but it goes down far easier than, say, an all-natural, fiber-enriched peanut butter sandwich without a glass of soy milk.
I’ll postĀ a streaming trailer after theĀ jump as soon as one becomes available.

I’d be skeptical of this one, but the solid reception at Sundance does bring it to a level of intrigue.
I think it looks great. I like how it’s as much about the family as it is preaching an environmental message. Having said that, the message doesn’t seem softened.
Refreshing too to see someone try to practice what they preach. I say this in a city full of armchair liberals who talk the talk but don’t really do much about it.
