Posterama: Amelia and Gentlemen Broncos

Well, I’ll just come right out and say it. I hate both of these posters. I hate the composition of the Amelia poster with Hilary Swank’s awkward mannequin pose obscuring the airplane. I hate the second one because I’ve had about enough of the homemade quirk of Napoleon Dynamite and this poster turns it up to 11. Spare me your lovable losers running at 3/4 speed.

I have no idea what Gentlemen Broncos is about, but I’m already skipping it. I haven’t completely written off Amelia yet because I like the talent involved, but I’ve been skeptical about it since the trailer.

The Amelia poster came from Rope of Silicon and the Gentlemen Broncos poster came from FirstShowing. Technically I saw them both first at a website that rhymes with Shmumming Shmoon, but they obnoxiously splashed them with their atrocious little watermark in a sad attempt to claim ownership of something that was simultaneously emailed to at least a dozen other websites.
