Trailer: Youth in Revolt
I never ran the original poster for this because frankly I’ve grown a bit weary of Michael Cera’s shtick, but after catching the trailer for Youth in Revolt before Inglourious Basterds, I’m kind of sold. It’s still Cera, but there’s a twist.
I never read C.D. Payne’s novel, but the trailer entertained. Check it out post jump.
Youth in Revolt starring Michael Cera, Steve Buscemi, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Long, Fred Willard, Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and Ari Graynor opens October 30th January15, 2010.

Does Michael Cera have to play the lead role in every movie about an awkward dude under 25? Sheesh, I’m getting sick of him, but I couldn’t help but crack up a few times while watching this trailer. The two roles kind of reminds me of Eddie Murphy in Bowfinger, I hope this movie can live up to that. Good to hear Old 97’s at the end of the trailer, too, “Timebomb” was a great tune to use.
Taylor, I loved Michael Cera in Arrested Development but it’s been diminishing returns ever since. I had the same reaction to the trailer though. The Francois Dillinger business felt different for him and edgy and it made me laugh.
I didn’t have high hopes for this, but the trailer kind of gives me hope.
