“Hundreds of years before the dawn history…”

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of Spinal Tap, the film that defined the term “mockumentary,” Shorts International and INgrooves today unleashed the new Spinal Tap short Stonehenge: ‘Tis a Magic Place on iTunes (for the low low price of $1.99).

Spinal Tap fans will of course remember the big…er small…part Stonehenge played in the original film from the clip above. Now it’s 25 years later and Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins and Derek Smalls decide to make a pilgrimage to visit the real Iron Age monument for the first time. Watch it on your iPhone and it will still look 18 inches tall.

iTunes also has Spinal Tap available for the first time as a digital download in HD. Think of it as turning the picture up to 11.

  1. Love that part. Such a hilarious movie.

  2. Agreed, though I’m not sure how I feel about them continuing to milk it 25 years later.

  3. Especially since it wouldn’t have the same impact out of context.
