Pencil in Bong Joon-Ho’s ‘Mother’ for 2010

In advance of it’s North American premiere at the Toronton International Film Festival, Screen Daily is reporting that Bong Joon-Ho’s Mother (which we just trailered a couple of days ago and which is much anticipated here around the LiC head offices ) has been picked up for US distribution by Magnolia Pictures with a plan to release it in 2010.

I had this lined up to see at our film festival but frustratingly had to bypass it due to work demands. Good news about the North American distributor, hopefully it has been or will be soon picked up in our neck of the woods too.
That’s the bitch of film festivals, even if you have unlimited free time there’s no way to see everything. A regrettable sacrifice but it gives you something to hope for in the future.
