B.S. Update: Work begins on ‘Arrested’ screenplay

Back in June, our last word on the possibility of an Arrested Development movie was that there was no point in even thinking about it until there was a script. Despite a deal supposedly being in place for series creator Mitch Hurwitz to write one, nothing appeared to be happening on that front…until now.

It’s still way too early to start making assumptions about the feasibility of this project, but THR is reporting that Hurwitz has indeed begun work on the screenplay despite being in the middle of launching a new sitcom with AD star Will Arnett.

The odds of this thing ever happening are tiny, but since I’ve already called BS on the whole thing, I’m duty bound to bring you updates and to prepare myself for admitting my epic wrongness if that should be the case.
