Trailer #2: The Men Who Stare at Goats

Yeah, sure. I could spend all day running down bootleg copies of the new Avatar trailer, but if you’re at all interested in that movie you’ll do yourself a favor and not watch it. It’s one of those deals filmed by some overeager shmuck on his iPhone in an actual movie theater and it looks horrible. Whatever your enthusiasm level for the movie is, this is not how you want to see it. Just wait until you go to the movies this weekend or wait until an official version shows up next week.

In the mean time, the second trailer for The Men Who Stare at Goats is a huge improvement over the first one. It cherry picks and expands upon the best moments and the stuff in between is better. Early critical word about this one has been mixed, but I’m still sufficiently intrigued by the idea and the cast to give it a look.
