UK Trailer: Green Zone
Collider was tipped to this UK trailer for Green Zone. I’m curious to hear from people who’ve read the book if they like it better, the same or less than the US trailer that went up yesterday.
Stream it after the jump from MSN UK.

I think this trailer sells the movie better. Closer to the book? Probably not.
I had high hopes that this could be the watershed Iraq film, but it only looks slightly more coherent / nuanced than an utter mess like Body of Lies.
I can easily get behind a well-made action movie/thriller set during the Iraq war involving all these fine folks, and that what this appears to be (and reporting elsewhere implies this is going to be very much an action thriller in the mold of the Bourne movies).
But it’s still leagues away from the book, so that really disappoints me.
The funny part is going to be all the Tom Clancy fans who see this trailer (or the other one) and think the book is some sort of fictional thriller and immediately order from AZ. Man, will they be in for a surprise.
Is the book filmable as is? I guess it is or at least you had a vision of it in your head. Is it possible that both trailers just pulled out allthe action bits and discarded the more truthy stuff?
I don’t know the answer to either question but I saw the possibility that the book could yield something worthwhile and thought-provoking and possibly even very funny.
The trailers may be distilling the action subplots, but I’ve read insider comments elsewhere (primarily at Chud.com) that this is very much a Bourne movie. Minus the amnesia.
