UK Trailer: Nowhere Boy

I’m changing the name of this blog to Living in Trailers.
Recently nominated for 6 BIFA Awards, Sam Taylor-Wood’s John Lennon biography Nowhere Boy now has a trailer in the UK and you can stream it after the jump.
Aaron Johnson plays Lennon and Kristin Scott Thomas plays his Aunt Mimi.
As much as I like Lennon and The Beatles, the musical biography is pretty much dead to me unless it has something to offer besides nostalgia value. I don’t see anything in the trailer that indicates that’s the case here.
The film premiered at the London International Film Festival. US rights are held by The Weinstein Company, but no release date has been set.

Icon? Isn’t that Mel Gibson’s production company?
Any trailer with I PUT A SPELL ON YOU attached certainly gets my attention (whether it’s Screamin Jay Hawkins or CCR).
Not bad. I do think it’s about time that KST (whom I adore) got another Oscar nod.
That would make me very, very happy…
