Slumdogs determined not to have film’s happy ending

I know I promised not to post about the Slumdog kids ever again, but it turns out I lied.
This time the AP (via McPaper) is reporting that the trust fund set up for the child stars of Slumdog Millionaire is being endangered by the kids’ poor school attendance.
In order to keep the trust fund’s monthly stipend rolling, Asharudddin Mohammed Ismail and Rubina Ali have to keep their attendance above 70% but Ismail is at 37% and Ali is at 27%.
If the trust fund is cut off, who is going to pay for the Bollywood set-piece finale??
