I case can be made for a Battleship movie…it’s just a naval battle flick that has been branded. Candy Land actually makes a certain sense. But Risk? Ok, yeah…a war movie….but on a world wide scale? And if it’s not…why call it Risk?
They’re carrying the addiction to branding to an absurd extreme. I have serious doubts whether many of these will ever come to fruition.
I already know how this one ends: in the final reel one of the two remaining players gets mad because he just lost Europe after squandering his African forces protecting Madagascar, flips the board into the air, and retires to watch TV, leaving the game unfinished. Roll credits.
It’s a game for two to six players. Hopefully only two to six people pay to see this.
