From Apple, it’s the trailer for Sundance favorite The Kids Are All Right.

Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Josh Hutcherson (Bridge to Terabithia) are the teen children of lesbians Julianne Moore and Annette Bening. They go off in search of their genetic father and turn up Mark Ruffalo.

If it weren’t for the cast and the Sundance raves, I’m not sure this mostly ordinary looking trailer would do much for me, but then a trailer isn’t a trailer unless it plays to the cheap seats.

The Kids Are All Right opens July 7.

  1. Looking forward to this a lot, primarily because of the cast and all the raves.

  2. Great cast. I’m definitely going to keep this one on the radar.

  3. Yes, I’m definitely on board, but my expectations for the trailer were a little too high I think.

Funny how I always say you should never trust trailers, yet I always fall into it.

  4. LOL, see? That’s why I never watch trailers – except in the movie theater, where I have no choice.

  5. I used to be that way, but writing about movies it kind of helps to know what I’m writing about.

Plus I like to post trailers for stuff not everyone already knows about.

  6. If nothing else, I’m sure this will be a fine DVD rental. This trailer is all formula which leaves me cold.

  7. I’m dying to watch this after the some comments ;P
plus, the cast… right? I love Ruffalo in anything. And Moore and Bening… Wasikowska xD

  8. Even the Hutcherson kid was pretty good in Bridge To Terabithia, but yeah. Ruffalo. Also, between this and Mother and Child, Bening might have herself another Oscar nomination.
