This is the one directed by Jay Roach (Austin Powers) with man-children Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as two politicians running for the same congressional seat.

Brian Cox joined the cast which also includes Dylan McDermott and Jason Sudeikis in early November. The script is co-written by Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy. Harwell is best known for his episode work on HBO’s Eastbound and Down which Henchy produced along with Ferrell and Adam McKay.

They’re all just one big, happy, inbred family of comedy.

Anyway, John Lithgow is almost always great and I’m a fan of Will Ferrell’s particular brand of stupidity. The genius of Galifianakis is utterly lost on me, but then I just haven’t really liked any of the movies he’s been in.

  1. Lithgow is great great great.

  2. I don’t like Galifianakis, but Lithgow cancels him out. Loved him in Garp. Loved him in Blow Out. Love him.
