Just following up on a report from November 17th. The offer that went out to Asa Butterfield to star in the adaptation of the award-winning Orson Scott Card novel has been accepted.

As for the rest of the cast, Viggo Mortensen had originally be eyed for the part of Colonel Hyrum Graff, but nothing came of it. Harrison Ford is said to be among the latest batch of contenders for the film’s adult lead.

Whoever gets the rest of the parts, Ender’s Game is targeted for March 15, 2013.

  1. Good casting. The boy is more important casting than the adult; I can see a lot of guys playing Graff.

  2. Yeah when the original announcement ran, I hadn’t seen Hugo yet so I didn’t know whether the kid was any good. Turns out he is!
