Taxi Driver (1976 ) directed by Martin Scorsese
Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle

Travis Bickle (voiceover): All the animals come out at night. Whores, scum, pussies, buggers, queens, fairies, dopers, junkies. Sick. Venal. Someday a real rain’ll come and wash all the scum off the streets.

  1. Hmmm. What does it say that I read this in the middle of the night? :)

    Great film.

  2. It means you’re going to wind up driving a cab all night and then you’re going to shoot a pimp.

  3. That voiceover you feature here is truly unforgettable, and can practically be recited verbatum.

Many consider this the greatest Scorsese of them all, and I can’t say I blame them for feeling that way.

Bernard Herrmann’s jazzy score is one of the cinema’s all-time greatest.

  4. I saved the best for last!
