Despite constantly talking about it to anyone who will listen, Dan Aykroyd’s been having a devil of a time reviving Ghostbusters. The latest rumor (originally reported in The National Enquirer, so yeah, grain of salt) claims that Bill Murray, the sequel’s one stumbling block (or cinematic saint, depending on your perspective… I take the latter), shredded the most recent script for the film before sending it back to Aykroyd. Sony has said they won’t make the film without him so hang tough, Bill! Seriously. I love the original film to this day, but there are many many more interesting ways for both Murray and Aykroyd to spend their time.

For example: Dog Fight starring Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as two rival Southern politicians eying the White House. Aykroyd joins a cast that also recently added the great John Lithgow and includes Brian Cox, Dylan McDermott and Jason Sudeikis. Jay Roach directs the comedy now filming in New Orleans.
