  1. Love him! Joel and Truman are his best roles but i REALLY love him as Ace Ventura (the first film of course). He needs to work with better screenwriters though and to stop wasting his talent.

  2. I’ve heard both great and terrible things about I Love You Phillip Morris. Have you seen that one? I was hoping it would be a Jim Carrey comeback picture, but no one saw it. Of those I know who did, 2 hated it and 1 loved it. I’m not sure if it’s significant, but the 2 haters were both gay men.

He’s best known for some of his more outrageously silly and obnoxious films, but the guy is an amazingly talented actor, both comically and dramatically. I rewatched Eternal Sunshine again to grab this quote and fell in love with it all over again. Just wonderful and both he and Kate Winslet are terrific in it.

  3. He was great in it (along with McGregor). Multi-layered and brave performance. None of my friends liked it so i can see your point. I would love to see him in a musical (ideally directed by Spielberg – he said he would like to direct one), or in a Fincher film. His dark side is very interesting.

  4. I’ll give Phillip Morris a shot. I’ve always been curious about it, but it kind of just fell off my radar.

  5. Ah, ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPTLESS MIND, one of the new millenium’s greatest films, and the finest thing Carey has ever been associated with.
