Big Trouble in Little China (1986) directed by John Carpenter
Chao-Li Chi as Uncle Chu (not pictured) and Kurt Russell as Jack Burton

Uncle Chu: China is here, Mr. Burton. The Chang Sing, the Wing Kong, they’ve been fighting for centuries.
Jack: What does that mean, huh? “China is here?” I don’t even know what the hell that means. All I know is this Lo Pan character comes outta thin air in the middle of a goddamn alley while his buddies are flyin’ around on wires cuttin’ everybody to shreds and he just stands there? Waitin’ for me to drive my truck straight through him? With light comin’ out of his mouth?

  1. “I’m a reasonable guy, but I’ve just experienced some very unreasonable things.”

  2. One of Kurt Russell’s finest moments. It’s silly, but still pretty goddamn funny.
