  1. I wonder if Soderbergh cut this trailer? This doesn’t feel like a Soderbergh movie at all, but it looks like a Soderbergh movie. I bet he had fun with this subject matter though. And I admit Tatum isn’t bad here. As an extreme Channing Tatum detractor, I think essentially playing himself might be the perfect role for him, and I mean that in a good way.

  2. I have to admit neither Tatum nor the subject ring my bell, but i’m interested to see what Soderbergh does with it.

  3. Mhm. Right, I think I’m okay with Steven Soderbergh’s impending retirement now.

  4. I think news of Soderbergh’s impending retirement was greatly exaggerated.

    Director:
    2013 Behind the Candelabra (pre-production)
    2013 The Bitter Pill (filming)
    2012 Magic Mike (completed)

Second Unit Director or Assistant Director (1 title)
2012 The Hunger Games (second unit director)

And that’s not counting two other projects he’s been enthusiastically talking about for a couple years now. Guess you’ll just have to suffer.
