  1. I’ll put in a good word for Jerry Goldsmith’s brilliant dissonant score, but as a science-fiction landmark there is so much more including as you note a superlative script with some unforgettable, much repeated lines. I see the blu-ray set of the entire series is out for an attractive price.

  2. This was a huge part of my childhood, but I can’t say it’s held up all that well for me. I have a real hard time with Chuck Heston except when I’m taking him ironically. That works in Soylent Green or Omega Man better for me than here. Not to say those are better movies, I just… I don’t know.
