Yep, the high brow NSFC is always dependable when it comes to staying arthouse. Even for Best Actress, where they wisely stayed clear of PLAYBOOK and Jennifer Lawrence. Yes, I agree that Day-Lewis deserved to win over Denis Levant and Anders Danielson Lee. McConaughey and Adams were not my top supporting performances, but fair enough. The group made some impressive choices.
Interestingly enough, though I greatly respect AMOUR, and thought it superbly crafted and acted, it barely missed my Top 10 list. Why? I don’t think I’d ever be motivated to watch it again.
