Michael Caine in "Blame it on Rio" (1984)

Blame it on Rio (1984) Directed by Stanley Donen.
Michael Caine as Matthew Hollis

Matthew: I’ve always had a problem handling nudity. I like it mind you, but it is troubling. Anybody’s. Even my own. Sometimes when I’m getting undressed, I almost wish I could leave the room. Do you know what I mean?

  1. For all it’s goofy exploitation, this film has its moments and these bits of monologue from Caine are among them.

  2. Considering the talent involved, it’s a shame this movie isn’t better, but Americans have never really been very good at the sex farce. I think it’s because our attitudes about sex are so deeply messed up, but that’s a whole other story.

If I’m gonna be honest, and I am, this one I remember best because of the nudity. Give me a break, I was like 15!
