Not my favorite Sayles, but a unique work for sure.
It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this but I remember liking it. Very unique.
Yes, I saw it in college when I was just “discovering” independent cinema and this was one of the cornerstones along with Stranger Than Paradise, She’s Gotta Have It, Sex Lies & Videotape etc. It holds up surprisingly well. Quite funny.
