  1. This low-budget cult favorite has made it’s mark on me from a very young age. In NYC, Channel 11 once offered “Million Dollar Movie” which play the same film every days for seven days including three times on Sunday. This William Castle horror film (probably his most beloved) was screened in that line-up a number of times.

Great bit of dialogue there, though in this film there are endless examples. Mine was Annabel’s quip that all of Frederick’s past wives died of hear attacks, and all were in their 20’s! But the bumbling owner of the house, Watson Pritchard, played by Elisha Cook had some beauties.

My entire family got to see this film on two separate occasions over the past two years at both the Film Forum and the Jersey City Loews in “Emergo” which as Castle devised, had theater operators install an elaborate pulley system to allow for a skeleton to glide along the ceiling, suspended at the film’s climax in the wine cellar.

I know, the answer to this would be “Get a life!” and it would be right!!!

  2. I watched this movie as a kid and it scared the crap out of me. Then I saw it again as an adult and was lmao. Great choice of dialogue for the quote of the day.
