Zack and Miri Make a P-O-R-N-O

Did someone turn the clock back to the 1950s when I wasn’t looking? I’m sure Kevin Smith and The Weinstein Co. were expecting a little controversy over Smith’s romantic comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno — indeed they were probably hoping for it — but who’d have thought that TV stations and newspapers would [...]

Poster: Slumdog Millionaire

Variety’s Anne Thompson has the poster for Danny Boyle’s Oscar-buzzed Slumdog Millionaire. Click the image to see the whole thing.
The true story of a poor street kid from Mumbai who wins top prize on a million dollar game show is set to play the upcoming AFI Fest and it will hit theaters on November 28.

Poster: Gran Torino

McPaper has the first look at the poster for Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino. Click the image to see the whole thing largified. It reminds me of something from the ’70s…like Walking Tall.

The film about a racist Korean War veteran living in Detroit is set to open December 17. The trailer is supposed to premiere this [...]

Australia: Another Look

This morning, MSN put up what they’re calling an “exclusive video” for Baz Luhrmann’s Australia, though many sources are calling it a trailer. I suppose it’s a pointless semantic argument, but to me a trailer plays in a theater before a movie. Anything else is a commercial or a promotional video. Whatever this is, it’s [...]

Poster: Valkyrie

Hey look ever’body. It’s the movie everyone seems to want to hate even though no one has seen it!

Directed by Bryan Singer, Valkyrie [...]

I liked the teaser poster better, but please let this movie be brilliant.

TV Spot: W

The more I see of this movie, the more I’m convinced it might be worth seeing just for Josh Brolin’s performance. He seems to have captured Bush effectively without stooping into caricature. I still doubt the movie will be any good or that it will change anyone’s opinion of our current president, but it might [...]

McPaper offers up this austere one-sheet for Sam Mendes’ Revolutionary Road reuniting Titanic stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. Based on the novel by Richard Yates, the film tells the story of a young WASP couple experiencing suburban ennui in 1950s Connecticut.
Revolutionary Road opens December 26.

International ‘Burn After Reading’ Poster

JoBlo has the international one-sheet for Joel and Ethan Coen’s Burn After Reading. It’s obviously very similar to the US poster with the addition of the figures at the bottom.
I like it, but then it’s widely known I’m in the tank for all things Coen.

New ‘Burn After Reading’ One-Sheets

Check them out…after the jump so as not to spoil things for those who take their movie virginity seriously…
