According to THR’s Gregg Kilday, Guillermo Arriaga’s upcoming The Burning Plain will debut on DirecTV VOD on August 21, nearly a month before it hits theaters on September 17.
Because everything is always about Oscar, David Poland wonders if this will effect the film’s eligibility, particularly the performance of Charlize Theron which he calls “spectacular.”
