THR’s Steven Zeitchik is reporting that David Cronenberg has agreed to direct and possibly write a new version of The Fly, the 1958 classic he memorably remade in 1986 with Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis.

Screen Daily reports that LiC favorite David Cronenberg has signed on to adapt Don DeLillo’s 2003 novel Cosmopolis for the big screen and that he’s also ultimately looking to direct.
DeLillo’s name is placed alongside Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Pynchon and Philip Roth as Important American Novelists, so pay attention.
