Last fall rumors made the rounds that The Lives of Others director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck was off the Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie thriller The Tourist. Von Donnersmarck denied the rumors a few days later and tonight Variety is reporting that he’s officially back on board.

The latest from Terry Gilliam starring Heath Ledger and Christopher Plummer screens tonight at AFI Fest. It’s imperfect, but it’s Gilliam’s best film in a long long time and should please fans of the man’s amazing imagination.

Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus doesn’t have a US distributor yet, but you can catch the international trailer above or over at Yahoo UK.
Best known probably as Heath Ledger’s last film, it also stars Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Andrew Garfield, Lily Cole, Tom Waits, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell.
