AFI announced this evening that John Patrick Shanley’s Doubt starring Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Amy Adams will fill in for the The Soloist as the opening night film for AFI Fest on October 30.

A press release went out this evening announcing that Paramount cancelled AFI Fest’s opening night world premiere of The Soloist due to the film’s release date change.
A new film will be announced on Thursday.
Will it be another Paramount film? Will it be Benjamin Button?
